Do We Really Have To??

Hi everybody, I hope you are doing fantastic wherever you are. I have had these thoughts for a while now and I found no genuine reason to keep them to myself. I imagined the idea that we all have things we would like to do without having to answer to anyone. Doesn’t it that sound cool, say, eat what you want without someone asking you why you are doing so? Well, that is what am going to talk about today.

  • We all have a right to talk whatever we feel like talking, be it unwelcome in our communities or not. You see, I have heard so many people use dirty languages, words that I cannot afford to mention on my blog. The biggest problem I have with such foul-mouthed people is this: what will happen if they just keep them to themselves? What is my take on this? I know we have the rights to speak our minds, but just because we do does not mean we should say anything we want. Respect is the key here, and so we should learn to exercise it.
  • Another thing is hate which is currently polluting the entire universe. Be it political or religious, it just has to stop, but how? The answer is simple. Most of us know that hate does not yield anything good. We can choose to hate others or just show some love. Hate stems from having a misguided sense of superiority and since most of us feel like we cannot compromise on anything, we fail to see the positive in others. Let us love one another, it is worth it.
  • In the current world of social media, sometimes you look at what people share online, be they photos or just comments and other types of posts, and you wonder where we lost our cool. So, am asking, where did we? Just because we can post stuff does not mean we should post things that bring us down as  a human race. We all have a genuine purpose as a people and we should do all we can to uphold that purpose.
  • It is always a good thing to exercise your marketing skills when you are with friends or strangers(perhaps you feel that they will never know that you know something). The question that keeps bugging me is whether we should be bombarding people we don’t even know with our beliefs and creeds. Just because we belief in certain religions does not mean everyone else should or else they will end up in hell…?

Simply put, just because I can be like a writing machine does not mean I should just write anything(except if what I write does not hurt anyone, hopefully). So, I will pause here before I cause trouble. Anyway, thank you for reading my blog posts and please remember to subscribe if you like it and drop me a comment because I would love to hear from you. I believe you have encountered situations like these in your life and if am wrong, forgive me and let us move on!

A Simple NO With Meaning

Image

Today, I decided to walk instead of riding. That decision helped save the environment and helped me remain fit. What I did not count however, was the fact that walking gives you an opportunity to see things that you would otherwise not see while inside a car! So, today, I found something cool, and I was surprised to learn that I have been using the same path so many times without noticing its presence..keep reading.

I was walking back home from our local store and then with my curiosity, I looked to my right (In my native language, they say eyes have no curtains) and I saw something that caught my eye. I walked by as if it meant nothing at all, or was I right? I was wrong and in my conscience, I knew that I had to do something. So, I walked back and snapped a photo using my smartphone camera. That is what you see above this post. It was a simple statement that said ‘NO’. That was it. There were no other writings below it. Excuse me sir, NO what? After taking the picture, I continued my walk.

Why am I writing about it? Because I later realized that I was underestimating the meaning of that simple statement. What was covered inside that box had to be protected. Even though I still think whoever wrote it did not give sufficient information to convince someone to avoid tampering with the box, I think saying NO is enough, at least for a smart person!

That two letter word kept me thinking. How often do I use the word NO? Do I say YES to please others? Am I worried of hurting people? How much does it cost to say NO to a close friend or even a family member? It seems we have been brought up into thinking that we always have to say YES to everything. I think it is time to learn how to say NO. At times, you don’t even need to add anything to it. Like whoever wrote the above warning! Perhaps if you can say NO to something you don’t feel is right, you can realize the true meaning of trust, friendship, and life.

Finally, it might hurt to say NO sometimes, but if it is the right thing to do, then it is well worth the pain. Thank You and always learn to say NO when you are confronted by things that are not right. Good Day.

Much ado ’bout Love – The Unknown

Image

My whole body was exhausted after being on the computer desk for long [I don’t recommend this]. Just before that, I had arrived home from a group service [Serving With Hope] where I met very great people. In my mind however, thoughts were streaming endlessly. I just couldn’t stop thinking about what I personally could do to make this world a better place. There was fire burning inside me!

I will only talk about one of the thoughts I had: Embracing new people in my life. That brings the word ‘strangers’ into my mind. I have to admit this: I am not the kind of person that easily starts conversations with strangers although that contradicts some of the things I have already done like publishing My Life Sentences autobiography. Still, I ask myself whether I can do better than being shy or not. If I find out that someone might be interested in talking to me, then it only takes me a short time to get involved. There is one secret many people do not know: most people like talking about themselves, so, give them that chance – this is a secret, no longer!

Here is my experience on Love – as far as other human beings are concerned: In the past year, I have interacted with many different people, most of them had nothing to do with what I do. At the beginning of the connections, I asked myself whether they were genuine or just interested in something else. I have learned since then that most people just want to do good things. So what exactly does it mean to do a good thing to someone else? That is a totally endless topic to discuss. I feel like doing something good to someone else means showing unconditional love.

My challenge to my readers is this: ask yourself, what have you done to show that you care, not just about your friends or family or your country, what about strangers? Have you made a difference? This is definitely not a demand. I have faced the same challenges, I still face them today and sometimes, I just have no idea where to start doing something One expert once said that the hardest thing to do is to start something.

Every week, I start conversations with new people. What is my goal? Simple, I want to learn new things from them, listen to what they say and that way, they will listen to me as well. Every first time contact is covered by the unexpected, the unknown reactions and of course the last impression I will make. The other thing is, I want to extend what I know, my opinions on things, share with them what I have in mind and finally make this world a better place.

Finally, if you love something, you will do all you can to see it in the shape you want[good]. Learn to talk to people, you never know how helpful you could be. Learn to listen to others, you just have no idea what you do not know. To all my readers out there, you are the best friends I have, you are the people I can share my stories and feelings with. I wish I could do more to make this world a better home for all of us.

Show some love. Pass it on. Life is worth living, because of love. This world, after all, could use some love. What do you think? Respond below this post!
