Aren’t you glad that the election season is just 48 hours away from its end? Think of it this way: thousands of hateful commercials and attack ads. We are already watching too many fashion and car infomercials and now, every minute does not pass without hearing ‘I approve this message‘. It seems every side of the isle will say anything they can get away with and hope that the undecided Americans will buy that crap.
Now, the reason why am urging people to go vote on Tuesday or on any day before that as long as your state allows early voting is this: Not all people in this world have the freedom and right to vote. Heck, women are still, in other countries, fighting to overcome this obstacle. So, if you have that right to vote, exercise it. Most people ignore such events as taking part in elections and then later they complain after whoever is elected screws them up. The best to do is get up and cast that vote.
The most amazing part of freedom is the ability to vote for whoever you want without being forced. That sure smells good right? You see, one thing that breaks our hearts – and if you are not heart-broken at any time, good for you; when our votes seem to mean nothing, have no impact at all. What is the point of voting? Remember Al Gore and Bush? If you are a Kenyan, remember what happened in 2007 election? It gets messy when politicians refuse to concede defeat. (One west African leader once said – there are two options for us “We either win or we win“. That is not a typo. What he meant was that if he lost, he would not agree to any defeat. People died because of that evil-minded dictator.
Thank goodness, America is not that kind of nation. So, again, go vote and express yourself. This election is crucial as far as where the nation will be in 2013 and years to come.
I have tried to be neutral as far as who is better when it comes to leading this country forward. Good luck and I hope that we all have a fabulous week.
Thank you and please remember to vote or sorry, I meant subscribe to my blog and drop me some comments!
NB: All these are my personal opinions and the decision to vote and who to vote for are personal and important!
